Mission:
To prepare the cultural heritage studies for the mine, railroad (700km) and port areas for an iron ore project.
- To provide the location of all sites of cultural and social importance
- To characterise these sites
- To classify them according to their degree of importance
- To present the history and local contacts for each site
Results:
The client received a directory of all the sites, a map showing each site, its type and importance and a site management plan according to site type and importance; all constituting operational tools to help the engineers plan the installations. A management handbook and a descriptive report of heritagisation in the country were also provided.
