Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) and Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) for Bakheng Water Supply stage 3 Project in Phnom Penh (Cambodia).
Mission:
Insuco was commissioned to develop an Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) and a Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) for the Bakheng Stage 3 Project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This pivotal stage of the Bakheng Water Supply Project aims to enhance water production facilities, expand transmission and distribution networks, and implement strategic engineering and support measures to fortify the management of Phnom Penh’s water supply, addressing the escalating demand and demographic shifts in Cambodia’s capital. The mission’s objective was to provide the environmental and social framework, and the resettlement framework, to support the Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA) in the effective environmental and social management of the Project, to shed light on potential impacts of the planned network expansion, and provide recommendations to mitigate any adverse effects.
