Technical Training in Haiti

Oct 2021 | News from Insuco

Within the framework of the support program to the transport sector, and more specifically the “involuntary resettlement of populations” component, Insuco has been collaborating with the MTPTC (Ministry of Public Works) on funding from the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) in Haiti on the displacement of populations following the construction of the RN1 national road and RD501departmental road since 2017.

Since July 2021, in its role as technical assistant, Insuco has been training executives from the Central Implementation Unit (UCE) and the Ministry’s Implementation Agency, so that they are autonomous on part of the resettlement process, namely the handling of database tools and the mastery of essential concepts of RAP implementation (Resettlement Action Plan).

The training was provided by Marine Rétif, expert and director of the RAP project for INSUCO.
