Head of Group Accounting Insuco Group


Reporting hierarchically to the Group CFO, your main responsibilities revolve around the management and functional animation of the Group’s Accounting and Consolidation function (18 entities). In this role, you will primarily be responsible for:

  • Supervising the accounting activities of the different group companies to harmonize accounting practices in compliance with local legislations.
  • Overseeing the preparation of statutory and tax accounts in collaboration with local administrative and financial managers.
  • Animating the accounting function and community within the group.
  • Assisting in the implementation of consolidated accounts in the UK.
  • Participating in the selection and implementation of a new accounting/ERP tool.
  • Implementing processes, drafting and updating Group procedures.


We are seeking a Head of Group Accounting responsible for overseeing the accounting and tax functions, as well as the consolidation of various entities within the group. The position is based in one of our offices (Africa or South America). To successfully fulfil your duties, you will collaborate closely with various CFOs (Chief Financial Officers) and accountants across the group.

Role and activities

Group Accounting and Taxation

  • Supervision of the accounting of various group entities.
  • Support to the Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) of different subsidiaries.
  • Steering the production of the group’s consolidated accounts in IFRS standards.
  • Monthly review of accounts for all companies.
  • Managing relationships with group partners (accountants, auditors, tax lawyers, etc.).

Administrative Management, Organization, and Accounting Procedures

  • Defining and implementing an accounting and management procedures manual in collaboration with local administrative and financial managers (CFOs) and other support functions of the company.

International Development

  • Supporting the Group’s development in the process of creating foreign legal structures when opening new offices.

Other Areas of Activity

  • Administration of the current SAGE accounting platform and liaison with the provider.
  • Training Finance teams on the accounting tool.
  • Participation in the implementation of a new ERP.
  • Participation in the recruitment and training of new CFOs.

Required Profile


  • Higher education in accounting such as DCG/DSCG or equivalent (master’s degree in finance or accounting).


  • 6 to 10 years of minimum experience within international organizations, addressing various associated challenges (currency exchange, taxation, transfer pricing, etc.).

Hard Skills

  • Qualified accountant with expertise in accounting, taxation, and consolidation.
  • Knowledge of IFRS rules and principles.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Advanced mastery of Excel (advanced level formulas, PivotTables, dynamics, etc.).

Soft skills

  • Autonomy in assigned tasks, recognized for organizational skills, supervision, rigor, and communication.
  • Ability to work in a team and play an alert role with various internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate motivation, enthusiasm, and dynamism.
  • Proactive in proposing improvements.


    Position to be filled as soon as possible

    • Full-time position based in one of the group’s offices in Africa or South America-Caribbean with the possibility of travel within and outside the country.
    • Permanent contract.
