Workshops on gender equity in Supía

May 2022 | News from Insuco

Women leaders in mining and energy territories are generators of transformations and catalysts of dialogue and confidence building. This was evidenced last May 4 and 5, in the municipality of Supía, department of Caldas, when we met with more than 70 women, including artisans, entrepreneurs, artisanal miners, farmers, artists and presidents of community action boards to discuss the importance of promoting the empowerment of women in their territory.

Our thanks and recognition to Collective Mining for contributing to gender equity, inclusion and diversity in its strategy of engagement with the territory. We also thank the Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Inter-American Development Bank for promoting these dialogues with the communities and CoreWoman for the construction and facilitation of the workshops.

We keep moving forward!
