In March 2017, the World Bank joined the approach developed by Insuco and the CIRAD (French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development), in the context of the Forest Investment Program (FIP) in Burkina Faso. This approach is based on three main strategic intervention axes: participative planification of land use, strengthening land security, and integrated sustainable management of natural resources. Innovative methods and tools (in particular TerriStories®) were developed in order to create frameworks for concerted actions and dialogue between the different territorial actors involved in the management of natural assets.
