Mission:
This mission aimed at finalizing the update of the final ESIA and elaborated the associated environmental and social (E&S) instruments (Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) audit, Labor Management Plan (LMP) and Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP)) for the Rodrigues Airport Expansion Project to be supported by the World Bank.
Results:
The following deliverables were provided to the client:
- Deliverables pre-field phase: (i) legal review social aspects (ii) Preliminary audit of the RAP (iii) LMP: review of legislation, table of contents (iv) SEP: update of the list of PAPs / Integration of consultations carried out since 2019 / Gap analysis E&S Standard (ESS) 10/National legislation
- Field deliverable: (i) preliminary result of the evaluation of the adaptation of the SEP to the PAPs (perception, efficiency) in PowerPoint format (ii) Consideration of indirect/cumulative impacts (Deloitte document synthesis)
- Final deliverables: (i) updated ESIA (ii) Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) including a LMP (iii) RAP audit with recommendations (iv) updated SEP with a Grievance Mechanism
