Recent and ongoing projects

Mission:

To provide technical advice to the World Bank to support the Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy in promoting the participation of 100 women and participants from LBGTQ+
communities in the Just Energy Transition (JET). Through workshops in the Caribbean, Pacific and South-western regions, capacities in leadership, production processes and
gender equity were strengthened. The consultancy designed and adjusted training modules, involved key actors and developed an interactive book to broaden the impact of the
initiative.

Project carried out in collaboration with ICSI (Insuco Center for Social Innovation)

Results:

• Narrative work plan and GANTT chart detailing the activities for the development of the expected deliverables and the achievement of the consultancy objective;
• Technical document based on a review of the literature and consultations with key stakeholders, which provides input for training and the design of strategies for the inclusion of women and LGBTIQ+ communities in the Just Energy Transition. This document addresses the main challenges and opportunities identified at the territorial level;
• Report on the results of the regional workshops, which includes an analysis of the participation of the beneficiary groups, lessons learned and recommendations for future gender-focused Just Energy Transition initiatives.
• Specialised advisory sessions aimed at key actors, with the aim of strengthening their capacities in the implementation of gender approaches and results based on the impact on the energy transition;
• Final document with methodological inputs, which summarises the experience of the project and will serve as a basis for the development of future guides on measuring results and strategies for participation in Fair Energy Transition policies.
