Technical support for the social management of Fruta del Norte mining project: implementation of the social risk management strategy and animation of a continuous participatory framework

Mission:
Following the first step of the social management plan, implemented by Insuco (development of a stakeholder mapping tool and participative identification of social risks), Lundin Gold asked Insuco to support the company in the implementation of the social risks management strategy and its articulation with its social investment strategy.
Results:
The client received a set of operational tools as well as a strategic support for the management of the social risks associated with its mining project. This support included the animation of local roundtables for the different risks identified by the community, management of articulations with public and private stakeholders, and the definition of social indicators to monitor impacts of this process on community wellbeing.
