Mission:

In the context of the land tenure reform in Guinea, the Ministry of Agriculture requested Insuco to produce an objective state of reference of the situation and the stakes of rural land tenure, to make a critical review of the legal and institutional framework at stake, and to establish a roadmap for a rural land tenure reform process. This study aimed to produce tools in order to defend the interest of the rural stakeholders in the coming land tenure reform.

Results:

Thanks to a national consultation process, Insuco teams produced a state of reference. This tool allowed rural stakeholders to formulate proposals for the land tenure reform and to suggest a roadmap for its implementation. The results of the study have been discussed during a national forum in Conakry, gathering 120 participants from all over Guinea.
