Recent and ongoing projects

Mission:

The project aimed to implement the first phase of the stakeholder engagement plan and update the stakeholder networks consulted in 2023. This work facilitated the bi-directional dialogue between the local community and Refoenergy and B-Energy, identifying concerns, doubts, expectations, risks and impacts on local communities related to the design and implementation of the project of an energy generating unit.
This unit consisted of a plant to produce electricity through the bioforestry burning of eucalyptus wood located between the municipalities of Villanueva and Sabanalarga, in the department of Casanare.
In this context, Insuco Colombia provided Refoenergy and B-Energy through Stakeholder Mapping and Network Analysis (PPPI) with the necessary tools, information and recommendations to develop a strategy in accordance with international standards of engagement with local stakeholders and compliance with national regulations. The proposal included the following methodological phases for its correct development: meeting and validation of the methodology, context analysis, collection of primary information, consolidation of the stakeholder mapping, network analysis and delivery of the final report with recommendations.

Results:

• Work plan and adjusted methodology: The work plan included a schedule of activities with their corresponding dates and persons in charge, as well as a precise description of the methodology to be used, logistics and people involved in the data collection process;
• Fieldwork report: After primary data collection in the field, the report included the systematization of the interviews, focus groups, attendance lists, transcription of the interviews and photographs of the meetings;
• Stakeholder mapping report, network analysis and relationship mapping:  Incorporation of results, stakeholder scoring matrix and stakeholder relationship plan.
