Participatory design of the Local Development Plan for the Karma project

Mission:
Our mission consisted in designing a 5 year local development plan, consistent with municipal development plans, for the communities impacted by the Karma project. The local development plan includes livelihood restoration for physically and economically displaced people, employment and local suppliers policies, and ad hoc projects aiming at communities’ sustainable empowerment.
Results:
The following deliverables were produced:
- A training report about survey and participatory territorial diagnosis techniques
- A participatory diagnosis report per community (19 reports)
- A local development plan including a local supply plan to strengthen economic links between the mine operations and local economy
