Client : Ministry of Tourism (MITUR), financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

Mission:

The Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic has contracted Insuco, in alliance with the Centro Mypimes UNPHU, to carry out a process of consulting and accompaniment to one hundred and twenty (120) micro and small enterprises (MSEs) selected through an open call process through the Program to Support Micro and Small Enterprises of the Colonial City, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The purpose of the consultancy is to optimize the use of economic opportunities, emphasizing the generation of added value of interest to national and international tourism, while promoting the expansion and improvement of its value proposition, in response to the increasingly demanding demand generated by visitors and residents. The accompaniment implies the follow-up in the implementation of the measures recommended and agreed upon as a result of the consultancy.

Results:

To meet the objectives, Insuco implemented the following activities:

  • Sectoral and sub-sectoral diagnosis of the 120 selected MSEs.
  • Action plan for the 120 selected MSEs.
  • Accompaniment in the execution of the MSEs’ Action Plan.
