Client : United Nations Development Programme

Region / Country: Asia | Cambodia
Services: Studies

Mission:

Insuco were tasked with conducting an analysis of the Leave No One Behind (LNOB) agenda in Cambodia. The LNOB agenda was created in 2015 with the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Within this Agenda, there was a commitment from all UN Member States regarding the priority to end all forms of discrimination and exclusion, and address inequalities and vulnerabilities to reach the goals by 2030. The objective of the study was twofold: first to provide a better understanding of the typology of left behind groups and characteristics of vulnerabilities in Cambodia, and second to explain root causes of inequality experienced by these groups to better inform policymaking and development interventions.

Results:

The following deliverables have been submitted to the client:

  • An inception report, including a conceptual and methodological framework
  • A literature review
  • A research report describing the left behind groups in Cambodia, explaining the root causes of their exclusion and providing recommendations for improved implementation of the LNOB agenda.
