Assessment of the land acquisition process, design support for a land acquisition policy, and development of a Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for the Hidroporvenir hydroelectric project

Mission:

The project phase is currently feasible and it has been identified that the incompatibility of certain project infrastructures with the present activities and land use require generating a land acquisition process for the operational development of the hydroelectric plant. to the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) Environmental and Social Performance Standard (NDAS) No. 5, for future acquisitions or impacts arising from the land purchase process. In addition, a consensual Resettlement Action Plan for a family will be developed.

Results:

The project is structured around the following components:

  • Analysis of the land acquisition process executed and to be executed within the framework of the Hidroporvenir project:
  1. Data analysis, structuring of the legal framework and coordination and design of information collection tools.
  2. On-site visit, implementation of random information collection tools at the farm level.
  • Identifying Procurement Management Gaps Related to Misalignment with IFC NDAS 5
  • Design of a land acquisition and involuntary resettlement policy adapted to the project.
  • Developing a Resettlement Action Plan for the identified impacts
