Complement to the feasibility study of the CNE 1168 project – support for the development of rural activities and the financing of agricultural chains, Agadez and Tahoua regions

Mission:
In order to complete the feasibility study for project CNE 1168, whose objective is to develop rural activities and agricultural chains in the regions of Agadez and Tahoua, AFD solicited Insuco to evaluate the impact of the project on the environment and on local society (according to the “do no harm approach”), as well as to design and implement a participatory mechanism and a monitoring-evaluation system.
Results:
After the implementation of a field survey and of interviews with the project manager (Ministry of Agriculture), Insuco provided AFD with a report on the analysis and management of environmental and social impacts.
