Mission:
In the context of the closure of a mining project, Insuco was consulted in order to implement a diagnosis of the artisanal gold mining situation in the area of influence of the mine, as well as to identify and assess the social risks associated with the company exit strategy.
Results:
The client received a set of operational tools to support decision-making processes:
- Mapping of the stakeholders associated with the project
- Evaluation of the social risks associated with different scenarios linked to the company exit strategy
- High level survey of small scale mining situation and challenges
- Recommendations organised within an operational action plan
