Final Evaluation of a Project to Improve Pain Management and Palliative Care in Haiti through Strengthening Health Facilities and Health Professionals, and Enhancing Knowledge among Civil Society and Public Authorities

Mission:
Founded in 1996, Douleurs Sans Frontières (DSF) is an international solidarity organization that has been operating in Haiti since 2010, with the objective of facilitating access to pain management and palliative care for users of the Haitian health system. This objective is pursued in particular through the development of continuing education opportunities in pain management for health professionals, the practical implementation of a palliative care approach, and the wide-scale dissemination of a culture of pain management.
Insuco was commissioned to evaluate DSF’s intervention based on the following objectives:

To analyze the quality of the various activities implemented by DSF within the framework of the project;

To provide an overall assessment of the project’s objectives and actions;

To identify lessons learned and produce useful and relevant recommendations to help determine areas for further development and strengthening in the future.
Results:
