Environmental and Social Impact Assessment

Mission:
The mission consisted in conducting the environmental and social impact assessment of the GAC mining project, whose concession is located 20km west of Sangaredi (mines and smelting structure) and in Kamsar (port). A first study was realized in 2008, this mission consisted therefore in updating it to make it compliant with the IFC standards.
Results:
INSUCO produced the Stakeholder Engagement Plan, and led the quantitative and qualitative surveys necessary to the constitution of a complete social baseline. Insuco also updated the impact assessment study, which includes the impacts, the main mitigation measures, as well as the monitoring indicators.
