Recent and ongoing projects

Mission:

In 2022, the government of the Republic of Djibouti signed a framework agreement with Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) to allow the customer to explore and investigate renewable energy resources in the country for domestic and export markets, in particular green hydrogen and ammonia.

In this context, FFI asked Insuco to study the environmental and social aspects and impacts of developing solar and wind energy in two regions of Djibouti.

La mission consistait à :

• Collect environmental and social data on 2 research areas: 3 focus groups, meetings with village chiefs and with prefects and regional chiefs;
• Produce a project scoping report for the two research areas;
• Drawing up the terms of reference for an environmental and social impact assessment for the two zones.
