Design of a social contingency protocol for hydrocarbon project operations in the departments of Putumayo, Magdalena and Casanare
Mission:
Petróleos Sudamericanos (Petrosud) is a hydrocarbon operator specialising in exploration and production activities in Colombia, aiming to ensure safe, efficient, and socially responsible operations. In this context, Insuco was commissioned to design a practical and adaptable social contingency response protocol, enabling the client to anticipate, manage, and effectively respond to social risks associated with its operations. Our multidisciplinary team of social and environmental experts worked in close collaboration with the client, combining field-based insights with institutional and regulatory analysis. The assignment included a review of secondary documentation, field visits to operational areas, and engagement with key public institutions to ensure alignment with sector guidelines
