Mission:
The mission consisted in analysing the project social programmes to assess their relevance, extent and performance, according to international standards and generally speaking, international best practices. The social expertise included communities’ engagement projects, compensation projects for affected parties, disclosure practices, complaint mechanisms and all relevant subjects that were considered good practice regarding the individuals and communities impacted by the project.
Results:
The following products were delivered:
- Restitution workshop at the end of the field phase, regarding the performance of the mining project social programmes
- A mission report presenting the activities carried out, an overview of the mining project activities and social programmes, and recommendations
