Recent and ongoing projects

Mission:

The Droits de l’Enfant via une Parentalité Responsable (DEPARE) project is being implemented by SOS Villages d’Enfants Haïti in partnership with SOS Villages d’Enfants France, with co-financing from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), for a period of three (3) years in six (6) localities in Cap-Haïtien, in Haiti’s northern department. The project aims to realize children’s rights by targeting children at risk of losing parental care through a Family Strengthening Program (FRP), and those who have already lost parental care.

As the end of the project approached – November 2023 – the client wished to carry out a final external evaluation of its project according to the criteria of the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the approach based on children’s rights and gender. The conclusions of the evaluation were then used as the basis for a four (4) day participatory workshop in the Dominican Republic with the project team to develop phase 2 of the project, in order to apply for AFD funding for the period 2023-2026.

Results:

Insuco provided the following services:

• Structuring of collection tools for data collection;
• Conducting data collection in the field: 16 individual and group interviews; 5 focus groups, 2 participatory workshops;
• Facilitation of four (4) days of face-to-face participatory workshops in the Dominican Republic to support the development of phase 2 of the project;

Insuco submitted the following deliverables:

• Scoping report ;
• Scoping note for the workshop in the Dominican Republic dedicated to the development of the project phase;
• Interim evaluation report;
