Social Baseline and Stakeholder Engagement Plan for the Grand Bara Solar Farm Project

Mission:
The Grand Bara solar photovoltaic project provides a total generation capacity of 30 MW through the installation of solar photovoltaic panels. The electricity generated is fed through an existing 63 kV overhead transmission line immediately to the west of the project site, which connects the project, via a substation approximately 9 km southeast of the site near the town of Ali Sabieh, to the national grid.
Within this framework, Insuco was commissioned by ERM to carry out the social baseline and Stakeholder Engagement Plan for the construction of solar panels in Grand Bara by Engie. Insuco travelled to the village of Doudou Balaleh and to Ali Sabieh to conduct surveys, focus groups with the population and meetings with institutional stakeholders in Djibouti Ville.
