From 02 to 06 August 2021, Jhon-Vanley Aladin (Head of Mission, member of the Insuco team in Haiti), accompanied by 3 investigators, conducted the quantitative and qualitative surveys of the baseline study of the project named Quality Integral Education for a Sustainable School Culture in Haiti, carried out by the NGO CESAL and funded by the Government of Navarra (Spain). The project, which started in January 2021, is implemented in 7 schools located in the communes of Ganthier and Fonds Verrettes. More than 250 students, teachers, principals, parents and cleaning staff were consulted as part of the study. The study will evaluate the baseline situation of the project through indicators on pedagogical quality, the level of knowledge of cross-cutting approaches (sustainable development, environmental protection) as well as on school facilities and hygiene/sanitation.
