On 7 July, Insuco’s teams in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), joined by members of the Group’s management team, brought together clients, partners, colleagues and friends in the Dominican Republic to celebrate 15 years of work and look ahead to the years to come.
The celebration took place in the gardens of Quinta Dominica, the former site of the University of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the first university in the Americas. Just a few hours before the event, torrential rain had turned the venue into a real logistical challenge. But by the time the event began, the dance floor was dry, the musicians were ready and the bachata could begin. Conversations and reunions soon took over.
Fifteen years, one shared approach
Pascal Rey, CEO and founder of Insuco, looked back at the Group’s origins in Africa, followed by its development in Latin America and the Caribbean and, more recently, in Asia. He recalled the conviction that has guided its work from the outset: putting people and territories at the heart of development.
For Guillen Calvo, Managing Director of Insuco LAC, the anniversary was also an opportunity to reflect on the journey so far in the region:
“Developing our activities in LAC has required a great deal of commitment, driven by the involvement of our teams, the richness of our diversity and the conviction that major challenges are built through collective effort. Today, we have five regional offices working across 26 countries: a significant achievement that also commits us to what comes next.”
A region looking towards 2030
The celebration also provided an opportunity to look ahead. Diana Méndez del Aguila, LAC Executive Director, shared the Group’s vision for the region towards 2030:
“Territories are changing, challenges are evolving, and we want to continue evolving with them. In the years ahead, our commitment is to grow with a clear vision, innovate without losing our essence, and continue creating value alongside our clients, partners and communities.”
