Audit of Firmenich Foundation’s Charitable Activities Supporting the National School of Débouchette in Southern Haiti through infrastructure strengthening, implementation of a mobile clinic, and financing of school equipment and materials
Mission:
The international fragrance and flavour company dsm-firmenich is engaged in philanthropic activities through the Firmenich Charitable Foundation, which has been supporting the National School of Débouchette in the Saint-Jean-du-Sud commune, Southern Department of Haiti, since 2010. These activities include the reconstruction of school infrastructure, provision of food and school materials, the “teach the teacher” programme, and the establishment of a mobile clinic.
Since 2022, Insuco has supported the foundation by conducting a social due diligence, providing regular technical support on project documentation, and offering direct assistance to the local coordinator. Considering that after this phase the coordinator is able to autonomously produce the documentation required by the Foundation, Insuco conducted an audit to verify the project’s progress on the ground, as reported by the project coordinator.

And delivered an audit report.
