Design of a monitoring/evaluation system as part of a territorial development strategy, oriented towards local heritage valorisation and poverty reduction in the area of the Utría Natural Park - RIMISP, in partnership with Prosperidad Social, the ACUA Foundation and the Colombian National Natural Parks

Mission:

As part of the design of a territorial development strategy in Natural Park areas, Insuco was solicited to integrate an approach for poverty decrease and local heritage valorisation, as well as to design a monitoring/evaluation system adapted to the project. This project is moreover aimed to be used as a model for a future implementation in other influence areas of natural parks.

Results:

The partners of Insuco received a set of tools and services, to contribute to the design of a territorial development strategy in the area of the Utría natural park (Pacific region):

  • Support for the elaboration of a territorial strategy for the sustainable management of local heritages
  • Training of the local communities and initiatives on the sustainable management of local heritages and on the territorial approach to local development
  • Design and implementation of a monitoring/evaluation system for the project
