The project to improve food and nutritional security and access to social protection (PASAN-APROS), financed by the 11th European Development Fund (EDF), was carried out between 15 December 2018 and the end of March 2023 by a consortium of 5 organisations, including 3 international NGOs, GRET en lead, Protos and Action Contre la Faim (ACF), and 2 local organisations namely the Association des Originaires de Grand-Plaine (AOG), and the Organisation pour le D\u00e9veloppement Rural Int\u00e9gr\u00e9 du Nord-Ouest (ODRINO). The project aims to improve household food and nutritional security (FNS) in four (Gros-Morne, Bassin Bleu, Chansolme and Port-de-Paix) of the six (6) communes in the Trois Rivi\u00e8res watershed, through an integrated approach to the various sectors considered to be key to improving FNS.<\/p>\n

As the project came to an end on 31 March 2023, GRET, as lead partner, commissioned a final external evaluation of the project in accordance with the criteria of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), as well as the cross-cutting criterion of gender mainstreaming. The conclusions of the evaluation are used to draw lessons from the project and make recommendations for future interventions.<\/p>\n

  • Conducting data collection remotely and in the field in the communes of Port-de-Paix, Chansolme and Bassin Bleu (Nord-Ouest) and Gros Morne (Artibonite): 18 individual and group interviews, 24 focus groups, 1 online participatory workshop and field observation visits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
