The company Siba Energy Corporation<\/strong> contracted Insuco<\/strong>, to carry out a Round Table<\/strong> process in the municipality of Boca Chica<\/strong>, Santo Domingo<\/strong> province. The Project has a capacity of 210 MV in its first stage and will increase to 280 MV in a second stage.<\/p>\n

The communities of Los Tanquecitos<\/strong> and Las Azucena<\/strong>s are in the area of \u200b\u200bdirect influence of the operations and have made demands for investment in infrastructure, renovation, equipment, among others.<\/p>\n

With Insuco<\/strong>‘s support, best practices in this area were incorporated, in addition to the criteria of the Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability<\/strong> of the International Finance Corporation (IFC<\/strong>), in order to establish a dialogue to prioritize community needs and reach commitments.<\/p>\n

To meet the objectives, Insuco implemented the following activities:<\/p>\n

  • A key documentary review was carried out<\/li>\n
  • Stakeholder mapping<\/li>\n
  • Outreach visits and interviews with key stakeholders were carried out.<\/li>\n
  • Workshops were held to identify and qualify the risks perceived by the communities to carry out a diagnosis of needs.<\/li>\n
  • A dialogue table was held with key actors from different sectors to agree on the necessary investments in the short, medium and long term.<\/li>\n
  • Report on prioritization areas and proposal for continuity of the dialogue tables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
