Mission:<\/h3>\n

The objective of this project was to assist Dinguiraye Mining Society (SMD)\u00a0 preparing an environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for a new underground gold mine, in compliance with Guinean legislation and international standards. The final aim of the ESIA report was to obtain an environmental permit for SMD from the Guinean authorities and international donors.<\/p>\n

After carrying out the field mission, Insuco analysed the data collected and drafted the following deliverables:<\/p>\n

  • A scoping report to identify the main issues, carry out an initial stakeholder engagement, launch the validation process with the Guinean government, as well as the terms of reference for the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA);<\/li>\n
  • An ESIA report comprising, in part, the following chapters:\n
      \n
    • Environmental and social baseline study ;<\/li>\n
    • Environmental and social impact assessment;<\/li>\n
    • Mitigation measures for negative impacts and improvement measures for positive impacts through the development of an environmental and social management plan (ESMP);<\/li>\n
    • The stakeholder engagement plan (PEPP).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
