Mission:<\/h3>\n

The mining company Dynamic Mining, incorporated under Guinean law and a subsidiary of the Indian group Jaguar Overseas, is the promoter of a bauxite mining project called the “Bon Ami” Project, located in Maritime Guinea in the south of the Bok\u00e9 Prefecture. Insuco has previously conducted several studies for this project, including an analysis of the options for the location of the future port and an update of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) to comply with international standards and national regulations. A Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) has also been developed in 2018 in order to anticipate the consideration and organization of potential involuntary displacements.<\/p>\n

Dynamic Mining is now planning to start construction work on the port area and of a first section of the mining road. Dynamic Mining mandated Insuco to develop and implement the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) on this first part of the Project (port and road), proposing compensation and resettlement strategies in accordance with national legislation and international standards.<\/p>\n

  • The identification of physically and economically displaced persons and the identification of people, properties, and infrastructures;<\/li>\n
  • The elaboration of socio-economic surveys;<\/li>\n
  • The development of the eligibility matrix and of a price matrix;<\/li>\n
  • The identification of relocation sites;<\/li>\n
  • The supervision of the contractualization with People Affected by the Project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Insuco submitted the following deliverables:<\/p>\n

    • A Resettlement Action Plan with a timeline and implementation budget;<\/li>\n
    • Databases of inventoried assets and socio-economic data;<\/li>\n
    • Cartographic data showing the location of parcels, infrastructures and cultural heritage sites;<\/li>\n
    • A Livelihoods Restoration Plan;<\/li>\n
    • An update of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan;<\/li>\n
    • Compensation contracts signed by PAP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
