On behalf of Pyxera and EXCEED, implementation of an economic analysis of the extractive industry and its local economic impacts. The first phase of the mission consisted in an analysis of the country situation, while the second phase focused on 3 regions.<\/p>\n

During the first phase, a stakeholder mapping and analysis were realised, which enabled us to define accurate national and regional profiles. The second phase focused on Bok\u00e9, Siguiri and Beyla regions in order to assess the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector, as well as the local economic development.<\/p>\n

In each region, Insuco implemented a study of key-sectors (in addition to the mining sector) and identified the challenges encountered by these sectors regarding the mining industry. Finally, Insuco emitted recommendations to enhance local economy around mining projects, both in terms of growth and diversification.<\/p>\n
