Statistics from the <strong>World Bank<\/strong> show that <strong>women represent only about 15% of the global mining workforce, with even lower representation in leadership positions.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme is a result of a joint effort between <strong>Insuco, the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MAE), and Universidad UTE<\/strong>, with funding from the<strong> Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).<\/strong> Its core objective is to bolster the leadership capacities of 120 women working in the public mining sector in Ecuador.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over six months, participants will complete <strong>230 hours of training<\/strong> across key modules:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Society, Culture, and Gender<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mining Processes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Management of Mining Processes, with an emphasis on the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approach, multi-stakeholder dialogue, and territorial corporate responsibility<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leadership and Public Management, focusing on political communication, crisis communication, and leadership.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For more information on this training and Insuco&#8217;s projects in Ecuador, please contact Valeria Arcos Hervas.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Insuco Ecuador, in a consortium with Universidad UTE, has officially launched the &#8220;Training Programme to Strengthen and Promote the Positioning of Women as Leaders in the Ecuadorian Mining Sector&#8221;.
