Having concluded the Human Rights Audit for DP World in 2021, which allowed us to identify compliance gaps and the Roadmap for closing them; we are moving forward in 2022 by extending this assessment to the main contractors of DP World Logistics and the corresponding support for closing the identified gaps. But above all, we are grateful for DP World’s renewed confidence in INSUCO Peru.<\/p>\n

As part of the integration process of the socio-environmental management of DP World Callao, the objective of this new assignment is to include key suppliers from DP World Logistics in the process of corporate management of human rights, define their compliance gap with respect to best practices and standards in human rights, and identify critical points to close them. This process will allow DP World’s suppliers to be homologated in the corporate management of human rights.<\/p>\n

On May 5, a meeting was held to launch this evaluation process with more than 15 of the group’s contractors, where we had the opportunity to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Raise awareness of the benefits of integrating the evaluation in HR to strengthen their practices and internal management, as well as corporate.<\/li>\n
  2. Raise awareness of the corporate objective of rigorous respect for human rights throughout the production chain, as an obligation of every company, but also as a great opportunity to ensure the development of the company and its workers, customers, surrounding communities, and the country in general.<\/li>\n
  3. To present the methodology, milestones and expected results of the process, and to align on the responsibilities and roles for the development of the evaluation: functions of each counterpart, dimensions of analysis, among others.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Supporting organizations to consolidate the management of human rights in their operations is not only a challenge of learning and innovation that allows adapting methodologies to the reality of suppliers, but also to ensure appropriate links between different actors, allowing to build sustainability.<\/p>\n

Vivo Cuenca est une ONG financ\u00e9e par diff\u00e9rentes entreprises publiques dans les secteurs de l\u2019eau, de l\u2019\u00e9nergie et de la gestion des d\u00e9chets, qui a pour objectif de promouvoir la conservation et gestion durable du bassin versant du R\u00edo Chinchin\u00e1 \u00e0 travers une approche territoriale.\r\n\r\nLa formation \u00e9tait destin\u00e9e aux diff\u00e9rentes entit\u00e9s publiques, entreprises priv\u00e9es et communaut\u00e9s impliqu\u00e9es dans la gestion du R\u00edo Chinchin\u00e1, et s\u2019est centr\u00e9e sur le sujet de la valorisation du patrimoine bioculturel pour soutenir le d\u00e9veloppement territorial.
