Socio-economic study and asset inventory - Tractebel of Engie Group

The Souapiti project consists in the construction of the biggest hydroelectric dam in the country. As a consequence, several villages will be flooded and the population relocated. Insuco was in charge of collecting data, including counting the inhabitants, inventorying their houses and buildings, as well as their productive trees. To go further, an economic and social study was carried out to identify their standard of living and economic livelihood.

The client received a report containing the updated socio-economic study, a geo-referenced database and the estimated relocation costs. Insuco also proposed measures to build a Local Development Plan.
