An Africa-focused anthropologist (IHEID) and Research Director at Laboratoire Citoyennetés (Ouagadougou), Luigi specialises in land tenure issues particularly as regards land access, natural resource management, conservation and mining. Based in Ouagadougou, he has spent 12 years working in Burkina Faso, Senegal, Chad and Guinea, where he has examined both compensation and resettlement action strategies and processes for mining groups, as well as traditional gold mining issues.
